Day trips by suburban rail from Hatch End via Willesden Junction are possible to places like Richmond-upon-Thames and The Royal Botanic Gardens at Kew (Kew Gardens). Historic Maritime Greenwich, the Royal Observatory and the Greenwich Meridian Line are also accessible using London Transport links.
Days Out by Car:
Day trips by car to many parts of South East England are possible including Henley-on-Thames and Cliveden (the former home of the Astor family), Hughenden Manor (home of Victorian Prime Minister Benjamin Disraeli), Chartwell (home of Sir Winston Churchill), Blenheim Palace (birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill), Windsor (Lego-Land), Eton, St Albans, Oxford and Brighton. Local car hire is available in Pinner Village.
Hiking in the Chilterns:
Access to the Chilterns is possible either by car or using the Chiltern Rail service which runs from London Marylebone to Aylesbury calling at Harrow-on-the-Hill, Rickmansworth, Amersham, Wendover and Great Missenden.
North-West London:
Situated in Pinner, our Moss Cottage self-catering accommodation is close to Harrow-on-the-Hill, the site of Harrow School (attended by Sir Winston Churchill). Uxbridge, Amersham, Watford, Rickmansworth, Northwick Park, Wembley Park, Ruislip, Eastcote, Stanmore, Northwood and the Chilterns are all accessible on public transport.
London Airports
London Heathrow Airport is approximately 30 minutes away by taxi (depending on traffic conditions). It is also possible to take the London Underground (Piccadilly Line) from Heathrow to Rayners Lane. The H12 bus runs every 10 minutes from Rayners Lane station to a bus stop 1-2 minutes walk away. We can also provide travel information from London Gatwick, London Luton and London Stansted airports.

Haroldston Farmhouse is a large detached self-catering holiday cottage located in beautiful open countryside, close to the market town of Haverfordwest but remains tranquil at the end of its own 300 yard long private lane. The house is centrally placed to explore the whole of Pembrokeshire.
It has a large beamed farmhouse kitchen, which is big enough to seat everybody. The kitchen is equipped with a gas cooker with double oven, microwave, dishwasher and large fridge. The freezer, washing machine and tumble drier are housed in a separate utility room.
There are 2 sitting rooms, both comfortably furnished with leather suites. One is equipped with television, DVD, Freeview and video, whilst the other has a hi-fi system, complete with CD and tape player.
The games room also has a TV and portable radio/CD player plus a dartboard and a proper bar pool table. There are various other pass-times, such as jigsaws, Monopoly, Cluedo, children’s toys etc.
The 6 bedrooms consist of 2 doubles with King-sized beds, 2 twins, 1 single and 1 room with 3 singles. If the house is required by 6 couples, the single room can easily be converted to a twin (advanced notice would be appreciated). One of the twins has an adjacent bathroom, with shower, and is situated on the ground floor, so is ideal for people who have difficulty with stairs.
There are 2 further bathrooms upstairs, one with a shower and one with a bath. Both have WCs.
All rooms are centrally heated. We supply all bed-linen and towels, with regular changes. Heating, gas and electricity is included.
WiFi gives free broadband access. Customers need to bring their own wireless enabled laptop computers.
The garden is large and enclosed with swing and brick-built barbecue. There is ample parking in the courtyard.
The ground floor provides the living, dining and kitchen area.
A two seater sofa and an armchair grace the living area with very comfortable lounging for visitors. A digital television with dvd player is provided.
The kitchen is a fully equipped and fitted modern kitchen with ceramic hob, double electric oven, washer-drier, dishwasher, fridge and ample storage cupboards. The cutlery, crockery and cooking utensils are of a good standard (e.g thick bottomed pans) and are complete matching sets. The kitchen is fully equipped to include such items as garlic crushers and salad spinners.
The dining area has an antique pine table and chairs for four.
The bedroom has a four foot six double bed and a single bed, two bedside tables, two chests of drawers, a fitted wardrobe and a three quarters length mirror hung on the wall.
Honeysuckle, Ivy, Clematis and Vine Cottages were created out of a large two storey “L” shaped barn and open out into a charming inner courtyard area that is a glorious sun trap.
Vine has a log burner in the living area.
The first floor provides an open plan bedroom (with en-suite shower room) with full length French windows looking out over a lovely rockery, then over the lily pond and across rolling countryside. A beautifully romantic hideaway.
The ground floor living area has two French windows, one looking east that opens on to the rockery and one looking south that opens into the inner courtyard.
Vine is a beautiful romantic cottage. Self catering, it is the perfect holiday cottage. One of finest selfcatering cottages in North Devon. A short break in Vine gives the perfect romantic break and is ideal for honeymoons or romantic anniversaries.
The ground floor provides a delightful living, dining and kitchen area and the first floor provides an open plan bedroom and en suite shower room.
A two seater sofa and two arm chairs grace the living area with very comfortable lounging for all of the visitors. A television with freeview box and dvd player is provided.

The bedroom has two large window lights that give the feel of sleeping under the stars on a clear night.
Japonica looks out into a small courtyard area which is shared with Hydrangea. The area is gravelled and bounded by a low stone wall. In the courtyard is two cast iron tables and chairs for the occupants of Japonica and Hydrangea. The inner courtyard looks out to a central stone circle within the larger courtyard formed by the cottages and the rear of Downe House. Within the stone circle is a fountain and it is particularly pleasant to sit out listening to the cascade of water in the late afternoon and early evening.
