The popularity of Pennsylvania arises from the presence of a varied number of sports teams like baseball, football, basketball also; it has the first zoo and aquarium of the state. The mode of commutation used by the natives out here is radio or on-call cabs. A prominent part of this state is Pennsylvania Dutch Country or just Dutch Country lies in the southernmost corner of Pennsylvania. It is so called due to the high percentage of inhabitants from Netherlands and Switzerland who form the major part of the population. In olden days, Dutch-speaking people who were a close knitted community among them and would not mingle with the outsiders. However, with the advent of globalization people of this region are not discriminated or under treated but have learnt to walk neck-to-neck with the natives.
Another noteworthy location of Pennsylvania is Bird-in-Hand. Bird in Hand is an unincorporated community, which means that this region is not part of a municipality. The population of this community consists of Dutch speaking and other ethno-religious groups. The economy of this region is largely dependent on tourist activities and to promote tourism a number of churches, museums, vacation home rentals and other historic sites are present here. The total population of this community is approximately 300 million. Accommodation for hikers is also available in vacation rentals. The food habit of Bird in Hand is similar to Pennsylvania and the later holds the distinction of being the snack capital of the world.
